The team at Innoterix are career laboratorians, spanning all clinical disciplines (core laboratory, molecular pathology, anatomic pathology, toxicology), epidemiology, laboratory consulting, research & development, and assay/reagent manufacturing.
We collectively have over 100 years of laboratory leadership experience, have overseen approval of laboratory-developed tests (LDTs) for over 1000 analytes, have served millions of patients, and have overseen the reporting of over one billion test results in CAP-accredited labs licensed across all 50 states.
Nick Mitilenes
Chief Executive Officer & Chief Product Officer
Nick is an experienced strategic, technical, and commercial executive with prior clinical laboratory oversight up to $60MM of annual revenue. Ever since his first laboratory at age five, he has been passionate about laboratory test and process innovation. Nick began his career in the laboratory, being credentialed as a Technologist in Molecular Biology and Diplomate of Laboratory Management by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), before moving into executive management. His leadership experience includes serving as president and COO of MedLabs Diagnostics (exited to private equity in 2018), president of Eurofins NTD Genetics, and general manager of Pandemic Response Laboratory (a division of Opentrons Labworks).

Sam Davalos
Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Sam is an experienced technical and information technology leader with a deep understanding of laboratory operations and personnel management. He is experienced in clinical laboratory operations (preanalytic, analytic, and postanalytic) including test validation and performance, automation, informatics, and client services. Sam is credentialed as a Technologist in Molecular Biology by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and maintains competency as a technical and general supervisor. His leadership experience includes serving as Director of Technical Innovations at MedLabs Diagnostics, Automation Informatics Specialist at Siemens Healthineers, AVP of operations at Eurofins NTD Genetics and Eurofins Transplant Genomics, and SVP of laboratory operations at Pandemic Response Laboratory (a division of Opentrons Labworks).

Sam Reichberg, MD, PhD, FACP
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Samuel Reichberg is a clinical pathologist, professor, and career clinical laboratory director. He has taught Laboratory Medicine at the New York Medical College, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York University, and the Hofstra/Northwell School of Medicine while pioneering innovations such as clinical laboratory consolidation, real-time PCR, and the reverse syphilis test algorithm. He has also had extensive diagnostic industry experience, as VP of a company now owned by Siemens Diagnostics, as Corporate Clinical Pathologist for Quest Diagnostics, as medical and laboratory director for the ICON CRO laboratories, and most recently, director of the New York Pandemic Response Laboratory.

Heather Richmond-Munyon
Vice President, Revenue Cycle Management
Heather is a seasoned revenue cycle and billing compliance leader with prior leadership roles including Senior Director of RSM at Physician Directed Partners, VP of RCM at EMTech Revenue Management, Director of RCM at Eurofins Boston Heart Diagnostics, and Director of RCM at Eurofins Diatherix. She has managed hundreds of billing staff and maintained oversight over the full revenue cycle, payer relations, and company compliance. Heather is credentialed by the American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC) as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA), Certified Documentation Expert Outpatient (CDEO), Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPEO), and as an ICD-10 instructor.

Peter Friedman
Vice President, Business Development
Peter's sales career spans more than 30 years including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and clinical diagnostics. Prior to Innoterix, Pete served as VP of Sales and Marketing at Eurofins Diatherix Laboratories and helped scale the company to over $90MM in revenue. He has developed training programs, pricing, physician education programs, sales tools, business development strategies, and large meeting design and execution. He consistently exceeds revenue expectations, received several sales awards, and has successfully launched novel products and services. He is dedicated to creating a focused vision and developing high-performing teams who are committed to achieving exceptional results by promoting individual accountability, collaboration, a sense of urgency, and fun. Peter's devotion to sales process has earned him many sales awards, consistently exceeding revenue goals.
